Below is a very useful gear ratio table that shows you some of the popular new combinations and the ratios that they actually produce for example the new 1×12 SRAM Eagle is a 36×10 and 36×50 giving you a 3.6 top end and 0.72 bottom end compared to the 2×11 XT with a 38×11 and 28×40 combination which gives you a 3.45 top end and 0.70 bottom end and a lot of combinations in between.

Keeping in mind that an old 24×36 gave you a 0.67 climbing gear.
